Abstract

A statistical approach to compressible axisymmetric turbulence is considered. A Loitsiansky-type invariant is deduced. The behavior of the density autocorrelation for small I is deduced. The influence of the lack of isotropy on the density fluctuations and sound wave propagation in a turbulent fluid is explored. (C) 2000 Academic Press.
