Abstract
Driving simulation tests were conducted to explore the effects of cellular phone use on driver errors and traffic safety. these errors were used as a measure of driver distraction. the results show that the danger of being distracted does not end with the termination of a phone call and that there is no significant difference between using a hands-free or a handheld cellular phone.
