Welcome to FLETD!
At the May 2011 U.S. Electronic Thesis and Dissertation Association meeting in Orlando, a group of Florida ETD representatives heard about the advantages of having a state association and gathered guidance from other states. At the 2013 USETDA meeting we renewed our commitment to organize a FLETD group.
What's happening?
- First, there is a Florida ETD listserv so we can share with each other and learn more about ETD practices. Contact Nathalia Bauer (nathalia.bauer@ucf.edu) if you wish to be added to this listserv.
- Second, of course, there is this FLETD website. Contact Lee Dotson (lee.dotson@ucf.edu) if you have suggestions for the website.
- Third, a Florida ETD survey was sent to Florida universities and colleges to collect more details about ETD contacts.
Membership benefits of FLETD include:
Network with others who process ETDs, catalog ETDs, and are involved with international ETD initiatives. FLETD provides an opportunity to develop a strong statewide network of ETD professionals to call upon for assistance in problem solving, in understanding ETD practices, and with developing and implementing new ETD procedures.
