Listen to Alessandra talk about her experiences studying Portuguese and earning her undergraduate Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certificate in the Modern Languages Department. She shares some memorable stories about learning Portuguese and studying abroad in Portugal with the MLL department. Hear Alessandra describe what she has been up to since her graduation, including her experiences as a first-grade teacher at a foreign language magnet school in Orange County, Florida and her more recent work with the advocacy group Mi Gente in Tampa, Florida. She speaks about her current research how this relates to her long-term plans. Alessandra graduated from UCF in the spring of 2020 with her B.A. in Cultural Anthropology and Latin American Studies and an undergraduate TEFL certificate. She is currently enrolled in an Applied Anthropology MA program at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
