In this episode, you’ll hear from Evelin Pegoraro who is both faculty in the Modern Languages Department and one of the department’s alumni. Evelin shares the story of moving to the U.S. from Brazil during middle school how she developed her multilingual skills through studying English and Spanish in high school followed by Spanish and Italian in undergrad. Hear her talk about her study abroad experience in Italy, her time in the MA in Spanish program, and her current work teaching Portuguese and Spanish classes. Evelin is currently learning her fifth language, French, and she shares her tips to inspire others to continue pursuing their own curiosities about language learning.
