In this episode, you’ll hear from Aicha Diallo, an engineering major who engaged in Café Francophone to reengage with the French language during her time at UCF. Aicha shares about her childhood experiences moving to Africa at a young age, learning French there, and her experiences moving back to the U.S. during elementary school. Hear her stories about navigating that school transition, being interested in Engineering from a young age, working in Engineering, and later pursuing French language learning as a way of reconnecting with a part of her identity.
This episode was recorded in summer 2024. At the time of publishing this episode, Aicha is living in Paris, France working at an internship for an international business company.
