Description
Deanna Flores has been the Library Director since 2003 at Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences, a nursing and allied health school of nearly 3,000 students, in Orlando, Florida. After twenty years of experience working as a physical therapist, Deanna graduated in 2003 from the University of Pittsburgh with a Masters in Library and Information Science, with an emphasis in medical librarianship.
Special libraries presentation: On MLS Day, Deanna will be discussing the rapidly-changing world of health sciences librarianship, including a look at employment opportunities and trends, emerging technologies, job descriptions/expectations, and an honest look at the joys and challenges of a career in this exciting field.
