Description

John Venecek is a Reference Librarian at the University of Central Florida. Prior to his arrival at UCF, John spent several years teaching college-level English in the Chicago area and also taught English at a university in Yekaterinburg, Russia while serving as a Peace Corps volunteer (1996-1998). His main area of interest is exploring how new and emerging technologies can be used to enhance information literacy instruction with particular focus on enhancing faculty/librarian collaborations.

Scholarly communication presentation: During his presentation for MLS Day, John will provide an overview of some of the changes that are occurring within humanities scholarship and will discuss how these changes have affected his role as an academic librarian.
