Abstract

Blacks have been making unprecedented progress in most professions in the U.S. Yet,the broadcast news medium still remains an area in which many African-Americans have trouble gaining noted access. This study attempts to determine if any correlation exists between race and credibility. In the process, some of the reasons why blacks apparently encounter more difficulty than others in entering the broadcast communication field are examined.
