Digital In-phase and Quadrature Detection Techniques
Abstract
This research report presents design details for implementing two different approaches to digital quadrature detection for use in coherent MTI (moving target indicator) radar systems. The purpose of quadrature detection for MTI radar and the advantages of digital detection techniques are discussed. Sampling and analog-to-digital conversion noise effects are detailed, and computer simulation results for each algorithm are presented.
