Title
Development Of A Commercial Energy Audit Program For A Public Utility Company.
Abstract
Florida imports about 90% of its energy needs, and the recent uncertain availability of fuel coupled with its increasing cost has forced the State into a vulnerable economic position. The State has adopted a plan which emphasizes conservation in all economic sectors while at the same time encouraging conversion to coal fired utility plants. It was recognized that conservation efforts will be a key element in providing the time required to build new facilities and effect conversion to alternate fuels to avoid energy shortages which would prevent economic growth. To effectively plan a conservation effort of electrical power, it is important to note how it is distributed by economic sector.
