Gain Of The Optically Excited Copper Vapor Laser
Abstract
The authors measured the gains of the optically pumped copper vapor laser (CVL). They are 2.96 and 2.32 cm-1 for the green and yellow lasers, respectively. These gains are an order of magnitude higher than the known gains of CVLs. The experimental procedure of magnitude and the implications of the results for high-pressure CVLs are discussed.
