Title
Test Results Of Islanding Experiments On Grid-Interactive Residential Power Conditioners.
Abstract
A series of experiments were conducted in order to assess the possibility of continued generation from grid-connected photovoltaic systems following the interruption of utility power. These experiments are referred to as islanding experiments. Four different grid-interactive residential-size power conditioners were tested with a variety of loads and with other dispersed generators operating in parallel. The results indicate that, with the possible exception of one manufacturer, state-of-the-art residential power conditioners have a significant susceptibility to continued operation following the utility power outage.
