Comparison Of F-Chart Predictions To Open Loop Solar Dhw Test Results.
Abstract
Six open loop domestic hot water systems (four pumped, one horizontal, and one vertical-tank thermosiphon) have been set up side-by-side at the Florida Solar Energy Center's systems test laboratory at Cape Canaveral, Florida. Actual performance data from these systems will be compared to the simulation model F-Chart. Each system consists of one south-facing, 4 prime multiplied by 10 prime , single-glazed, flat black solar collector and one 82-gallon tank. The collectors are identical in model, size and manufacturer.
