Title
“Sub Specie Boni”: The Comfort Zone Of Self-Belief—A Dimension In Counseling Offenders
Abstract
Self-defeating behavior seems to recur in spite of therapeutic treatment. Instead of viewing such behavior as irrational, in the manner of rational-emotive theorist Albert Ellis, the author posits that such behavior is a rational attempt to satisfy early, introjected messages about the type of person one is and what one deserves from life. © 1996 by The Haworth Press, Inc.
