Title
Low interchannel crosstalk wavelength routing switch based on bulk acousto-optic tunable filters
Abstract
A bulk acousto-optic tunable filter (AOTF)-based optical routing switch free space architecture is designed to greatly suppress leakage noise via both spatial and electronic noise blocking techniques. Using a single AOTF to form a WDM drop filter results in a very high leakage light level. To solve this problem, 1:1 free-space lens-based imaging optics that do spatial filtering was first used then second was a single AOTF that is electronically controlled to implement electronic filtering.
