Realization and development of BRIEFING beam reconstruction algorithm and visualization methods
Abstract
The BRIEFING-type reconstruction procedure was experimentally realized. A 23-μm-thick nematic liquid crystal cell was used as a nonlinear element. Pairs of far-field intensity patterns were registered by CCD camera and recorded into a computer with a moderate spatial resolution. The modified BRIEFING algorithm was applied to the input data. It gave a reconstructed intensity profile and phase profile in the plane of the nonlinear cell. An experiment was also conducted to measure intensity distribution in the focal waist directly by a microscope.
