Abstract
We characterize the regularity of a system of orthogonal rational functions with given poles on the unit circle. Under the assumption of the existence of one regular system, we show that every system of orthogonal rational functions can be approximated as closely as possible by a regular system. © 1999 Elsevier Science B.V.
