Title

Stretched Vortices In A Compressible Fluid

Abstract

Stretched vortices in a compressible fluid are considered. A modified Burgers vortex model is considered for which the flow associated with the vortex is perpendicular to the plane of uniform straining flow, a situation that is well suited to modeling a mixing-layer flow or a jet flow. © 1999 Elsevier Science B.V.
