Title
First Demonstration Of Second Harmonic Generation By Oppositely Propagating Guided Waves In Dans Waveguides
Abstract
The mixing of two oppositely propagating guided wave beams in non-centrosymmetric media is known to generate a second harmonic line source traveling normal to the waveguide surfaces. The paper reports on the first implementation of the SHG process in organic materials using a deff of 100 pm/V in a poled polymer film of 4-dimethylamino-4'-nitrostilbene (DANS) side chain molecules.
