Abstract
This article presents the findings of a national study that devised an empirically tested list of competencies necessary for the recognition, assessment, and treatment of sexual addiction. Following this presentation are practical suggestions for how to apply this new knowledge to inform educational experiences for current and future counseling professionals. © Taylor and Francis Group, LLC.
