Title
A Study On Flame Propagation And Stabilization At The Bases Of Laminar Lifted Diffusion Flames
Abstract
Results of a computational investigation of the flame propagation at the bases of lifted laminar jet diffusion flames are reported. The FLUENT code was used for both reacting and non-reacting laminar fuel jets. The effect of Schmidt number on flame lift-off phenomena of fuel diluted with inert gases is examined. For reacting cases, the flame propagation speed at the flame base was determined with variable lift-off heights for given fuels. Comparisons with existing theories are compared.
