Title
Long-Distance Propagation Of Partially Coherent Beams Through Atmospheric Turbulence
Abstract
The long-distance propagation of partially coherent beams through atmospheric turbulence was discussed. A beam generated by a planar, secondary, Gaussian Schell-model source, located in the plane z = 0 was considered. It was shown that the partially coherent beams should be considered for use in any long path propagation scheme such as one frequently encounters in remote sensing and in the use of communication systems.
