Abstract
The equations for bi-directional waves over an uneven bottom were presented. The bottom may actually be moving or it may result from an imposed flow at infinity which is brought to rest via a change to traveling coordinates in which an uneven bottom will appear to move. It was shown that the bottom of the channel is moving slowly and has a small variation, and the variation of outside pressure along the channel is small.
