Abstract
In this paper we extend our study to include the external field angle dependence of the time independent switching field, Hswo(θ), for granular and multilayer perpendicular media. Comparison of Hswo(θ) with a calculated head field provides further insight to the technologically important issues of transition definition and side-writing of adjacent tracks for these two classes of perpendicular recording media.
