Title

Spectral Anomalies At Wave-Front Dislocations

Abstract

The experimental evidence for the anomalous spectral behavior found in the focusing region of truncated Gaussian beams as well as in the singular points of random wave fields was presented. Direct measurement of spectral intensity distribution and the spectral phase at the singular points in optical waves was performed using a high-resolution interferometric technique. The results demonstrated that new possibilities existed for manipulating optical spectra and, as these spectral changes were specific to critical points of optical fields.
