Title
Quadratic Spatial Solitons In Bulk Periodically Poled Ktp
Abstract
Quadratic spatial solitons (QSS) in bulk periodically poled KTP were presented. For the fundamental beam in a second harmonic generation (SHG) geometry, a 1064 nm beam from a 10 Hz repetition rate, Nd:YAG laser with a 25 ps pulse width were used. The 8.99 μm period of the PPKTP crystal was quasi-phase-matched at a temperature of 40°C. Results showed that two dimensional QSS were observed in a PPKTP crystal with a low threshold of 5 GW/cm2.
