Comparative Experimental Analysis Of Jitter Performance In Extended-Cavity Semiconductor Modelocked Lasers
Abstract
Jitter performance in extended-cavity semiconductor modelocked lasers was discussed. The phase noise of semiconductor modelocked lasers was determined by the cavity loss and Q in a similar way as modelocked fiber lasers. The phase noise was presented as a function of cavity length. There was a white phase noise up to some characteristic frequency at which point the phase noise drops.
