Title
Discrete Solitons And Soliton-Induced Dislocations In Partially Coherent Photonic Lattices
Abstract
The interaction between a photonic lattice and a light beam optically induced with partially coherent light was investigated. The lattice spacing was small enough to ensure that appreciable coupling between nearby lattice sites exist. It was observed that the nonlinear index change experienced by an optical beam depends on its polarization as well on its density in an anisotropic photorefractive crystal. The results show a transition from two-dimensional discrete diffraction to discrete solitons and soliton-induced dislocations in a partially coherent photonic lattice.
