Title
Exploring Relevent Concepts In The Presentation Of Audio Within A Simulated Or Virtual Environment
Abstract
This report proposes a taxonomy for audio presentation within virtual environments. After a brief review of relevant audio and hearing issues, a step-by-step process for integrating the audio component of the simulation is offered. The taxonomy is the result of research by Darin Hughes from the Institute for Simulation and Training in Orlando, FL. This work was originally submitted as a class project under the guidance of Dr. Mustapha Mouloua, where Mr. Hughes was co-author. For more information on the taxonomy or his expertise in the field of audio engineering, contact him at darin@cs.ucf.edu.
