Title
Women In Engineering: Ieee Women In Engineering Membership Data
Abstract
The IEEE conducted an environmental scan to organize Women in Engineering (WIE) statistics and learn what is happening in sister societies and other organizations. Survey questions were sent to 5000 members over a period of eight months among which 9% responded. Although sound findings were obtained, there were problems such as members joining and leaving over the survey period and obtaining an accurate respondent profile among others. Based on the findings, the survey was updated for future data collection.
