Title
Dynamics Of Activated Escape And Its Observation In A Semiconductor Laser
Abstract
A study was carried out to account for the dynamics of activated escape. Using a semiconductor laser with optical feedback, it was shown that the distinct peak displayed by the prehistory distribution arises even for final states lying behind the boundary of the domain of attraction to the initially occupied metastable state. The qualitative features of the prehistory probability distribution (PPD) were determined.
