Title
Moving From Standards To Instructional Practice
Abstract
The new rules for engagement in K-12 education include mandatory learning and accountability. Because of the pressure to focus on high-stakes assessments, educators are striving to maintain an appropriate balance and still teach the content they believe is essential. Teachers need to know what to emphasize in an overcrowded curriculum. Suggestions for what to teach as well as for translating standards into practice are offered. © 2000, Sage Publications.
