Governance Tools Addressing The Welfare Issue In The United States

Abstract
This article examines the importance of governance tools in dissolving welfare issues in the United States. An important point made by the authors is that, by adopting a governance approach, policy makers and practitioners benefit from more flexibility to move and adjust to evolving social issues; this approach is faster and more efficient than the traditional government paradigm originally permitted. The question for the next generation of policy makers is to determine what governance tools are appropriate for addressing this growing poverty epidemic. The goal of each tool should be to place the power in the hands of individuals familiar with welfare problems and solutions. © Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
