A Supermode Fiber With Strong Mode Coupling For Space-Division Multiplexing
Abstract
A supermode fiber is designed with appropriate parameters to obtain large mode field overlap. Bending and tilted long-period gratings are introduced to achieve strong mode-coupling and significantly reduce the DMD in space-division multiplexing. © 2015 OSA.
