Characterization Of Annular Cladding Erbium-Doped 6-Core Fiber Amplifier
Abstract
We compare two 6-core annular cladding erbium-doped fibers achieving >19 dB gain and <6 dB noise figure across the C-band. The annular cladding improves the pump power utilization by 40% compared to uniform double-cladding.
