Investigation Of Inter-Core Cross-Talk In Cladding Pumped Double-Clad 6-Core Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier
Abstract
We investigated the cross-talk in 6-core erbium doped amplifiers. Results indicate that the amplifier has lower cross-talk when the fiber bending radius >30 mm. The bending induced pump distribution nonuniformity can be reduced by randomly-twisting the fiber.
