Abstract
This paper presents recent results in the design, fabrication, and demonstration of indium phosphide based integrated optoelectronic devices for applications in communications and signal processing. The underlying theme in the design and use of these devices is to exploit the parallelism that manifests itself owing to the availability of a set of stabilized, mutually coherent optical carriers, or optical frequency combs.
