Teaching & Learning with AI
Description
This presentation explores the use of generative technologies such as Claude.AI and Chat GPT 5 to enhance writing planning and drafting as a tool for highschoolers, focusing on 10th grade pre-IB English. Given the writing demands the IB-HL English courses require, students struggle with structure, critical analysis, and citation formats. Through prompt engineering, students learned to craft targeted inputs while developing awareness of plagiarism boundaries. Teachers can upload rubrics to create graphic organizers, structure websites with multimodal components, reducing workload and learner diversity. Participants will receive a prompt engineering framework, academic integrity guidelines, and ELA scaffolds adaptable for varied levels.
