Description
Mary Rubin interviews Jason Lovelace, a UCF alumnus that studied engineering in the mid-90s, via Zoom. Jason started at UCF with the aim of working for Disney. Early in his UCF years, he became involved with Student Government. Highly spirited, Jason attended many sporting events. At one event, Jason saw UCF’s Knight mascot and inquired about how to be involved with the mascot program. With the help of Trey Gordon and Coach Linda Gooch, Jason endeavored to create a unique spirit program. Eventually, the Knight was named Knightro. Jason talks about being friends with Knightro and the many shenanigans they were involved in. Jason also mentions Spirit Splash and how he eventually started working for Disney.
