Description
Mary Rubin interviews Kelli Belfatto, who graduated from UCF in 1999 with a degree in Psychology, via Zoom about the impact of UCF on her life as well as the impact she had on UCF. Kelli notes the different aspects of UCF throughout its establishment such as Spirit Splash, changes to campus, and other campus events. After attending a Campus Activities Board (CAB) meeting, she became highly involved in CAB and Student Government. She was the Student Government Productions Director as well as the Popular Entertainment Director. In the latter role, she was responsible for coordinating comedic shows on campus. One comedian show that she is especially proud of is Adam Sandler. She talks at length about her and her fellow students’ endeavors to create tradition on campus. She specifically elaborates on the creation of the Spirit Splash event, which was named in 1997. Kelli is a proud alumna that continually comes back to campus, especially during Spirit Splash, and hopes that future students are interested in the history of the events that they have come to love. Kelli concludes with her intent of informing students to "keep making [UCF] better."
