This presentation was given during the virtual Panhandle Academic Librarians Conference 2021 as a lightning round talk on July 16, 2021.
Abstract:
During 2020, academic libraries and librarians had to quickly adapt to the ever-moving changes throughout the year, especially with technology. Whether you're a tech pro or learning to navigate new tools, there's no doubt that you encountered a technology challenge or two throughout this past year. This session will explore a variety of tools for use in the classroom, with an emphasis on some of the more popular ones currently in use. The presenters will discuss how to avoid pitfalls and challenges when using online technology for teaching and learning. Attendees will learn about several different types of tools and how to navigate common technology challenges with solutions and strategies for technology tool success.
As the number of online technology tools keep increasing, staying abreast of which tools are the easiest to use and how to avoid pitfalls with using them in a remote teaching setting will be discussed. Tips and tricks will also be shared.
This session will explore a variety of online technology tools for use in teaching and learning. The presenters will discuss how to avoid pitfalls and challenges by offering strategies and solutions for tech tool success.
