UCF's LEAD Scholars Academy works with students committed to academic excellence and making a difference in the world around them. Learning about leadership in the classroom is only meaningful when the knowledge is put to use. LEAD Scholars guide and inspire their peers in a variety of ways on campus. Through collective efforts, the program contributes a total of thousands of hours of community service each year. This provides our scholars the opportunity to make a lasting difference in the UCF and Central Florida community.

The LEAD Scholars Academy U-LEAD initiative provides service-learning leadership programs and courses for upper-division and transfer students. U-LEAD is composed of multiple programs with specialized curricula to meet the various needs of students. Each program is composed of single-semester courses designed for upper division students with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and an interest in service and leadership. Students may participate in one semester or up to four depending upon their interest and availability. The programs offer two courses each semester, based upon enrollment, that allow students to apply their leadership skills in service-learning opportunities.
