Howard Phillips Hall viewed from the Administrative Building (now Millican Hall). Several students are walking in front of Phillips Hall (then the Classroom Building - not to be confused with the current Classroom Building I on the North side of campus.). The corner of the Reflecting Pond can be seen. It was dedicated to Howard Phillips in 1981. Howard Phillips (1902 - 1979) was a prominent Orlando businessman and philanthropist, and the son of "Doctor Phillips", the former orange grove magnate, who has a neighborhood in Southwest Orlando named after him.
