Photo Description

Howard Phillips Hall viewed from across the Reflecting Pond, with the fountain going off. Several Students are walking in front of the Hall. Trees and shrubbery line the walkway. There is a second print made from the same negative. It looks to have been cropped, enlarged and darkened. Phillips Hall was originally known as the 'Classroom building' (not to be confused with the current Classroom building I on the North side of campus.) Howard Phillips (1902-1979) was a prominent Orlando Businessman and philanthropist, and the son of "Doctor Phillips", the former orange grove magnate.
