Stetson University Conrad Hall
Stetson University's original Conrad Hall (dormitory). Built in 1901, it burned down in a 1903 fire. A second Conrad Hall was built in a different location. A typed note on the back reads "Built... near the Boulevard in front of what is now Emily Hall, it housed students, largely ministerial students, who could pay only a minimal amount for room and board." A hand written note adds that it was a "...boarding club where students could live for $10 a month plus a $1 fee..."

The wings were added in 1897-1898. Elizabeth Hall was given to the University by John B. Stetson and named in honor of his wife, Elizabeth. It has housed, at various times, the School of Business and [School of] Music, the science departments, the Monroe Heath Museum of Natural History, and the Art Gallery. from 1915 to 1934 the Eloise Chimes hung in the cupola." And hand written note on the back of the photo adds "note fence to keep out wandering cows".
