A black and white photograph of Richard Vernon Moore, Sr., president of Bethune-Cookman College, presenting a birthday cake to Mary McLeod Bethune on school campus. Dr. Moore can be seen at the right in white suit. He is holding out the cake to Mrs. Bethune, who is wearing a dress and a corsage. She is also holding the cake. The cake has candles on it, and letter on the side which reads, "Mary." In the background can be seen two doors and a person standing against the wall. A description stuck to the front of the photograph is not legible. On the back of the photograph is the stamp of the photographer and processing studio.
