Description
A black and white image of Dr. Richard V. Moore, president of Bethune-Cookman University from 1947-1975, and his wife riding on the back of a convertible during a homecoming parade. The car is a Cadillac DeVille. The Cadillac symbol can be seen on the trunk of the car. Moore is wearing a suit, hat, and eyeglasses, and he is turned around to the photographer and giving peace signs to him. His wife is sitting to the left of him. She is also wearing a dress suit, gloves, and sunglasses, and she is also waving to the crowd. The driver of the car they are riding in is looking straight ahead at the road. The car is driving down the center of the street, where spectators line the right side. A man can be seen standing in the middle of the road next to the car; he is walking as if he is trying to cross the road. The spectators are standing next to multiple-story buildings. The building nearest to the car has second-story windows out of which are leaning spectators. A large palm tree can be seen standing in between the two buildings. On the back of the photograph is the stamp of the studio, which includes the address and phone number. A yearbook stamp is also on the back, which reads, "Page no. 252, Pix no. 2, Order 3718-68." Also written on the back in pencil is "B-CC Homecoming parade, 1968."
