Richard V. Moore in a Homecoming parade
A black and white image of Dr. Richard V. Moore, president of Bethune-Cookman University from 1947-1975, and his wife riding on the back of a convertible during a homecoming parade. The car is a Cadillac DeVille. The Cadillac symbol can be seen on the trunk of the car. Moore is wearing a suit, hat, and eyeglasses, and he is turned around to the photographer and giving peace signs to him. His wife is sitting to the left of him. She is also wearing a dress suit, gloves, and sunglasses, and she is also waving to the crowd. The driver of the car they are riding in is looking straight ahead at the road. The car is driving down the center of the street, where spectators line the right side. A man can be seen standing in the middle of the road next to the car; he is walking as if he is trying to cross the road. The spectators are standing next to multiple-story buildings. The building nearest to the car has second-story windows out of which are leaning spectators. A large palm tree can be seen standing in between the two buildings. On the back of the photograph is the stamp of the studio, which includes the address and phone number. A yearbook stamp is also on the back, which reads, "Page no. 252, Pix no. 2, Order 3718-68." Also written on the back in pencil is "B-CC Homecoming parade, 1968."

The presentation is from Dr. Wright to Dr. Moore, from the National Alumni Association. James Hughhes is holding a brochure in his hand that reads, "Homecoming Dance, Moore Gymnasium, 8:00 pm." In the background of the image stands the campus guard in their military uniforms. The photograph is printed on Kodak paper. Richard Wallace:Luther High School-Orlando Luther
Various images of Richard Wallace, who served as Principal, administrator and teacher for Luther High School(later known as Orlando Luther) for about a decade beginning in 1985-86. Having served as a Presidential appointee on the prestigious National Commission on Excellence in Education (which produced the white paper, "In Search of Excellence"), Wallace also brought valuable experience in revitalizing other Lutheran High Schools in the midwest. He will be remembered for his humility, his extraordinary personal commitment to "saving the school" during a precarious point in its history and his deep love and concern for the students and faculty. The school publication ("Shield") was dedicated to his name twice during his tenure at the school.

A note accompanied the photograph from the Daytona News-Journal, which read, "Mr. Rodriguez, We weren't able to use this in the paper, but I thought you might like to have it. -Linda Trimble." The "Mr. Rodriguez" is Edward Rodriguez, Mary McLeod Bethune's foster son and college administrator.

This is due to the fact that some of the players played with the Jacksonville Tarpons for part of the year, and then played with Sanford the remainder of the year.

A black and white photograph of the original photograph of Mary McLeod Bethune's early schoolhouse in Tomoka, Florida. The schoolhouse has paned windows and is built of wood. A small belfry is just barely visible at the top of the image. A wooden ladder can be seen leaning against the left side of the building. Very tall trees can be seen in the background. In front of the school, in the yard, is a small group of three women and school girls standing in a circle holding hands. They are all wearing dresses. The three women are standing nearest the school, and are all wearing hats and coats. The woman standing in front of the door, dressed in a black dress and hat, is Mary McLeod Bethune. A small black "check" mark is visible just above her head, which must be present on the original image, indicating that is where she is standing. On the back of the image is written, ""Early school in Tomoka-- out from Ormond Beach, Florida. 1918. Bethune-Cookman College."" The image is printed on Kodak paper. The photographer of the image is unknown.

School lunch management class
A black and white image of African American women learning how to serve food. The course was in school lunch management, and it was offered as part of the vocational education program given at Bethune-Cookman University. In the forefront of the image, women wearing hairnets practice preparing an assembly line of food for the students. The food ranged from potatoes, to rolls, to casseroles. At the right of the image is a Caucasian male, who is the instructor. In the background of the image, other women prepare food as well. The women appear to be working in an oversized kitchen, where ovens, pots, pans, and plates can be seen. At the right of the image, hanging on the wall, is a poster that reads, "The Wheel of Good Eating; Eat foods from each group daily. Keep it balanced, make it spin." The photographer of the image is unknown.
