Three iconic images of St. Luke's new sanctuary wall rising. c.1992
Offering views taken through the interior of the only remaining portion of St. Luke's original brick church, an unidentified photographer captured three images of the east wall of St. Luke's new facility under construction. c.1992. The transepts added to the brick church in 1957 had, by this time in the construction process, been demolished and the ground east of the original (1939) church had been leveled to make way for the large new facility. Ultimately the open east wall of the old brick church would serve as an entry to the narthex of the new sanctuary. The brick structure, itself, would be remodeled and used as a chapel in later years

Three students look through microscopes
This image consists of three African American students, one male and two females, looking through Spencer miscroscopes. The microscopes have the same logo on them: Spencer, Buffalo, USA. The male student at the left of the image has short curly hair, and is wearing a button up shirt, tie, and sweater. He has his hand on the focusing wheel. The female student in the center has shoulder-length hair with a ribbon tied in it. She is wearing a button-up shirt and sweater, and a plaid skirt. The female student at the right of the image also has shoulder-length hair with a ribbon tied in it, and she is wearing a light-colored shirt. Both girls are leaned over, looking through the microscope lenses. On the front of the image is written in pen "To Mrs. Bethune, Gordon." On the back of the photograph are two stamps. Both stamps read "Please Credit O.W.I, Office of War Information, Photo By --." The stamp on the left has no information about the photographer, but the stamp at the right has the name "Parks" written in blue ink. The number "17132" is also written in pencil on the back of the image.

A black and white photograph of the entire cast from the play "The Delicate Thread," written, produced, and directed by Bethune-Cookman University professor Thurman Stanback. The students belong to the Tra-Co-Dram (Tragedy, Comedy, Drama) drama club. They are standing amongst their set, complete with couches, chairs, lamps, and tables. The "BCC" theater curtain hangs above them. The actors names are listed on the back of the photograph, but their order in the photograph is unknown, except for two of the six actors. Cleo Higgins is standing in the center of the photograph in an evening dress, and Rosalyn Moore is seated on the sofa at the left. The remaining cast members are Lula Goolsby, Carver A. Tree planting ceremony
A black and white photograph of a large group of male and female African American graduates, dressed in caps and gowns, gathered in a circle outside with their family members. The families and graduates are standing, watching some of the graduates plant a tree in the ground in front of an unidentified Bethune-Cookman campus building. Many of the people are holding white papers in their hands, possibly commencement programs. The tree planting ceremony, as it was called, was a yearly tradition for the graduates, and always took place on the day of commencement. The female family members are dressed in long skirts and dresses, while the men are wearing dress suits. On the back of the photograph is written in pink ink, "196?". Vocational program exhibit

Vocational school exhibit
A black and white image of an exhibit at Bethune-Cookman University of products from Keyser Elementary School and the vocational school. At the top of the image, attached to the wall, are four brooms in a criss-cross pattern. These brooms were made by the boys at the school. At the right of the image, half of the wall concerns art done by the students of Keyser. A small sign reads, "Keyser Practice School at Bethune-Cookman College." The artwork features health practices needed for students. The posters read, "Children need Cereals and Fruits. Children Need Cereals. Take tub baths often and Brush Teeth Regularly." Under this wall are is a house that has been made from school supplies, a sign on it identifies it as coming from the second and third graders. To the left of this model school are two tables where papers are sitting. A placard states this is from fourth and fifth graders. Hanging on the wall above the table is a large painting of a ship, and smaller pictures taped around it that were drawn by the students.
